Warner Bros. and Legendary set a Denis Villeneuve movie for 2026

Warner Bros. has introduced a slew of modifications to its launch schedule, most notably scheduling an untitled occasion movie from Legendary and Dune director Denis Villeneuve for December 18, 2026 in IMAX.

Following the huge success of “Dune: Half Two,” Villeneuve entered talks with Legendary to adapt Annie Jacobsen’s Pulitzer Prize finalist novel “Nuclear Battle: A Screenplay.” It’s not but clear if that undertaking will make it into that new launch slot.

Jacobsen’s ebook explores “the situation of what would possibly occur within the occasion of a nuclear conflict, based mostly on dozens of recent unique interviews with army and civilian specialists who constructed the weapons, had been conversant in the response plans and had been answerable for making these choices if essential.”

Legendary can also be working with Villeneuve to develop a 3rd movie titled “Dune.”

An untitled Monsterverse movie can also be scheduled to be launched on March 26, 2027.

An animated movie from Warner Bros. Footage Animation and Locksmith, which was beforehand slated for a similar date, has been faraway from the calendar.
